Yeah same here, the battle rifle should be able to make a burst. At least the AR is returning in Halo 3.

the assault rife makes more of the fighting up close and personal, you have to be close to make your kill, the BR makes it where everyone kills from a distance.

I just found out the AR isn't in Halo 3, the MA5C is. It is the same as the MA5B (AR) but it is upgraded with new features like the 32 round clip. The MA5B used a 60 round clip though. That's what i found weird. Unless it is an AR/BR.
